Creating the largest airport green roof in the United States is no small challenge. So when the city of Chicago sought to design and install 3.9 acres of vegetative roof on the FedEx Cargo Relocation Facility at O’Hare International Airport, it turned to Sika Sarnafil.

Working to meet the city’s green roofing requirements and the needs of FedEx and its insurer, FM Global, Sika Sarnafil delivered a roofing system that got the job done.

After four months of preparation, Sika completed the roof work in 17 days — meeting an accelerated schedule and overcoming building access limitations.
